Top NCAA Basketball recruiting class in the Big Ten – Michigan

Most teams that lose a 5-star commit don’t stay near the top of their conference, but Michigan missed out on two and still dominates the Big Ten’s recruiting battle. Their league-high four 4 star haul really shows off the strength of Jawuan Howard and co. in year two.

Zeb Jackson suffered a slight drop in the final 2020 ratings, but that’s no knock to his obvious skill on the offensive end. Jackson, a 6-2 combo guard with a nice pull-up jumper and underrated athleticism comes in as the 11th ranked shooting guard in one of the deepest positions in the class. Leave him open, you’ll pay, let him drive, he’ll make plays.

The 7-2 behemoth Hunter Dickinson brings elite size to a team losing starting center Jon Teske. A good defender and rebounder who takes a lot of space in the post. A solid basketball IQ allows him to operate out of the high post.

Falling one spot short of the top 100 is Terrance Jackson. The undersized big man has similar size to many of the hybrid bigs that thrive in the Big ten. He’s versatile, strong, shows the touch to be a face-up four when needed. Jackson has a very nice package for a long-term college prospect.

We’d be remiss to mention Coach’s son Jace Howard. The 6-8 forward averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds his senior for a team that made it to Florida’s 4A regional semifinals. Howard brings great depth to a small forward position returning two contributors to last year’s team.
