7. AAC Basketball recruit rankings – Noah Farrakhan (East Carolina)

The three-star point guard received offers from schools in the Big 10, ACC, Big East and the SEC.  Among the16 offers was the one from East Carolina Basketball that Noah Farrakhan decided was best suited for him.

At 6’2 coming out of The Patrick School in New Jersey Farrakhan contributes offensively with his ability to hit from beyond the arc if left unguarded. This will provide a different look for defenses than current starting junior point guard Tremont Robinson-White  (7.2 PPG, 2.3 APG) who attempt less than two three-pointers per game and hits in the neighborhood of 28 percent.

Farrakhan is also dangerous enough off the dribble to draw the help defense, especially with this change of direction dribble, and be able to hit the open man. Playing time, however, will not come easy with the aforementioned Robinson-White along with senior Tyrie Jackson both averaging around 23 minutes per game.

One aspect that will be important for Farrakhan to improve upon is his on the ball defense, despite being defensively active by challenging the ballhandler, at the collegiate level he is in danger of getting beat off the dribble. Even with playing time not coming easily, Farrakhan is set to make an impact in the AAC.
