13. AAC Basketball recruit rankings – Jamille Reynolds (UCF)

The three-star power forward will not experience the same team success with Central Florida Basketball as he saw as a senior with  24-6 Lakewood High School. After a 20 point loss to Tampa Catholic in the Florida State Regional Semifinals, 6’9 -230 pound Jamille Reynolds is going to play for the Coach Johnny Dawkins and the UCF Knights.

Even when taking into consideration that the vertically challenged Knights will be getting some size in the frontcourt with 7’1 Moses Bol coming off a redshirt season and 6’8 Sean Mobley now being eligible after transferring, there is still room for Reynolds. Reynolds averaged nearly16 points per game in high school as he easily utilized a spinning hook-shot in the paint over smaller players.

Much of the season Reynolds did not have to display skill, but he was very effective. Despite being able to score due to his size, as indicated by his 71 field goal percentage, he averaged fewer than five boards. Scoring at the NCAA level will not come as easy for Reynolds, but he could still garner a fair amount of minutes off the bench as 6’4 Matt Milon and 6’6 Dozen Ingram were two seniors who spent time in the frontcourt.

Look for Reynolds to come off the bench and develop more skill as he continues to attempt to bully opponents in the paint. Which will be easier if the opposing team’s big man is occupied with Moses Bol.
