NCAA Basketball finalist for Moussa Cisse – Georgia Bulldogs

Tom Crean is slowly turning things around for the Bulldogs, since taking over in 2018. He signed his third straight top-40 class this offseason and hasn’t had difficulties translating talent to the NBA. Nicolas Claxton and Anthony Edwards, a guaranteed top-3 selection in the upcoming draft, have rolled out the blueprint in the last two years for Cisse making a quick jump to the league.

Outside of Edward’s high usage rate with the team last season, the Bulldogs loved to get out and run the floor. Freshman guard Sahvir Wheeler was a large orchestrator for that area of Georgia’s offense and he will look to improve on his top-5 assist total in the Southeastern Conference. Along with incoming freshman K.D. Johnson and transfers Justin Kier and Mikal Starks, playmaking guards like Wheeler are the ideal compliments to a mobile big of Cisse’s talents.

Aside from the countless open-floor and pick-and-roll opportunities he could receive playing alongside this team’s backcourt, Crean has not been afraid to let his big men shoot the ball outside of the lane. Looking to improve on that side of the floor, Cisse will be a focal point in the Bulldogs offense and have the freedom to develop his game next season.

If he commits to Georgia, Cisse will be the 3rd best prospect in program history to step foot on campus behind Lou Williams and Anthony Edwards. The addition of a defensive playmaker and rim protector to this roster could elevate their likelihood of grinding out victories and making a push for the NCAA Tournament.
