The other Tigers on Cisse’s list also have a ton going in their favor towards securing his services. In an interview with Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog, Cisse said of LSU “…their assistant coach coached my brother in college, too…I feel like with how the coach made my brother better, he could do the same for me.” Relationships are everything in recruiting and already being very familiar and trusting of the staff in Baton Rouge is big news.

Much like the situation in Memphis, Cisse fits the team’s system perfectly. As a mobile big on a team that pushes the pace, there are a lot of stats he can pile onto the sheet. The program has helped highly touted bigs Naz Reid and Trendon Watford to solid freshman seasons and early entry to the NBA Draft. The successes of these two bigs were partially due to freedoms within the offense to expand their game, develop and refine areas of their skillset prior to pursuing professional options.

Leading LSU’s 6th-ranked recruiting class is potent scoring guard Cam Thomas, who is expected to garner a large portion of the offense next season. Thomas will draw a lot of attention for the Tigers giving Cisse a ton of space to play his game down low. Will Wade’s offense is fruitful for every player on the floor, with five players from last year’s roster averaging double-digits, and this season shouldn’t be any different.

The Tigers are a gritty defensive team and have many explosive and long athletes to clog passing lanes. In an effort to jump passes and create turnovers, there is a good chance perimeter defenders are going to funnel ball-handlers down to Cisse in the paint creating numerous shot changing and blocking opportunities to disrupt opposing offenses. If Cisse jumps on board with LSU, there will start to be rumblings about how good this team can be on both ends of the floor.
