NCAA Basketball contender for Daeshun Ruffin – Auburn Tigers

Bruce Pearl has revitalized the Auburn program with 4-straight winning seasons and 25 wins in each of the last 3 years. The 2019 team replicated the Tigers success from the previous campaign, despite losing half of their top-8 players from the roster. Pearl’s enthusiasm for basketball is infectious and his team’s emulate that energy on the floor.

Auburn gets up their fair share of 3-point shots, create havoc on defense and make teams pay at the free throw line. After last year’s EYBL season, Ruffin committed to the program briefly before opening his recruitment up again to thoroughly evaluate the process.

After the 2020 season, the Tigers are going to be very thin at the point guard position and could play a major role in Ruffin’s recruitment. His game as an aggressive and strong two-way floor general is similar to what Pearl has utilized on recent Auburn teams. The Tigers are being more selective with their pursuit of point guards and could provide Ruffin a golden opportunity to command a competitive squad from the jump.
