NCAA Basketball finalist for Justyn Mutts – Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Bulldogs are coming off a 20+ win season but will lose their most important player with Reggie Perry going to the NBA. Despite that, the Bulldogs still bring back some key pieces for next season.

Mutts would add some much-needed depth in the frontcourt for next season with Abdul Ado really the only player coming back with significant frontcourt minutes. Mississippi State played guard-heavy around Jones last season, they’ll likely change up the play style moving forward.

Robert Woodard, Nick Weatherspoon, and D.J. Stewart will likely be the go-to scorers for next season and with a lot of returning bodies in the backcourt, looking for positive additions in the frontcourt seems like a no brainer for Ben Howland.

Mutts would have a chance for some key minutes in the SEC which has to be appealing for the graduate transfer. With three straight 20 plus win seasons, the Bulldogs are definitely an underrated transfer option for players and should not be overlooked.

Justyn Mutts would fill a much-needed hole moving forward for Ben Howland, the Bulldogs were one of the first teams to reach out to Mutts when he announced he’d be entering the transfer portal. Mutts would be a nice addition with some good experience.
