NCAA Basketball option for Jaylen Warley – Florida State Seminoles

Under Leonard Hamilton, Florida State has utilized a big rotation of players. It’s taken a lot of pressure off of players to immediately perform at the highest level and buffers the Seminoles from playing themselves out of games by riding a cold hand. As a result, Hamilton has proven very capable of developing his players in a ‘next-man-up’ situation.

Warley would certainly be able to enter the program with a good chance of securing quality playing time in his freshman season. His versatility and production as an off-ball guard or as the primary ball-handler will ensure he doesn’t get buried deep on the depth chart. Additionally, the Seminoles half-court style bodes well for Warley’s ability to create for the offense and find open looks as a playmaker and shooter.

Florida State has been a strong defensive team under the current staff and would accentuate Warley’s strengths creating turnovers and clogging passing lanes. He has a lot of respect for the coaching staff and stated “FSU has a great system for big guards” like himself in an interview with Jake Weingarten of stockrisers.com.
