NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Analyzing 2021 4-Star G Jalen Warley 10 teams

NCAA Basketball option for Jaylen Warley – Michigan Wolverines
A lot of hope has surrounded the Michigan program since Juwan Howard took hold of the reigns last season. The hiring of assistant coach Phil Martelli was not only a boost to Howard’s on-court performances, but has also been a boon to his recruiting successes and will be vitally important for the recruitment of Jalen Warley.
Warley told Sam Webb of 247sports.com that Martelli “coached my dad and uncle at Saint Joseph’s, so I’ve known him since I was a little kid.” The relationship is a huge advantage for the Wolverines to land him in Ann Arbor. He’s been particularly keen on the program for a long time and is excited to visit the campus.
Similar to the 2019 team, the Wolverines backcourt projects to be thin for the 2021 season. Warley is an ideal player for Michigan’s system and has the ability to thrive in both guard spots. He would be called upon to lead the offense and would be a strong catalyst defensively for a team wanting transition buckets off of turnovers.
Michigan is still pursuing a number of recruits, such as 5-stars Pat Baldwin Jr and Trevor Keels, which could secure another top class for Howard. The trio would be very strong in their ability to get to the rim and Michigan would have the horses to run a high-pressure defense fitting the talents of their perimeter corp.
