NCAA Basketball finalist for Andrew Nembhard – Stanford Cardinals

Stanford has already made headlines for this offseason by getting a top-five player in the country in Ziaire Williams and they’re looking to continue to set themselves up for success by making Nembhard’s top six list.

The Cardinals will be moving forward with Tyrell Terry if he elects to come back to school and junior point guard Bryce Wills who was a member of the Pac 12 All-Defensive team in 2020. The Cardinals will also be adding some depth at point guard for 2020 in top 100 prospect Michael O’Connell and in 2021 with four-star point guard Isa Silva.

There looks to be a lot of depth in the backcourt moving forward for Stanford but there would be no problems for Nembhard getting minutes. Almost any program in the country would shift around minutes and scholarships if they were adding an elite floor general player like Nembhard.

Tyrell Terry’s success at Stanford shows what kind of success Nembhard could have with Stanford’s system under Jerod Haase. Nembhard was held back in Mike White’s system and will be looking for more freedom and flexibility going forward and Haase can give him that.

The Cardinals aren’t one of my favorites for landing Nembhard but I think it says a lot moving forward that they made Nembhard’s list but it’s definitely not a bad fit. Stanford is working to establish itself as one of the best in the Pac 12 moving forward by looking to add elite-level talent.
