NCAA Basketball: Breaking down transfer Andrew Nembhard 6 finalists
NCAA Basketball finalist for Andrew Nembhard – Memphis Tigers
Memphis has already landed two of the best sit-out transfers this offseason in Virginia Tech transfer Landers Nolley and Evansville big man Deandre Williams. The addition of Nembhard would set Memphis up to be a contender for 2021.
Penny Hardaway is an excellent recruiter getting the number one recruiting class in the country in 2019 and has continually been linked with multiple five-star prospects. They’ll bring in just one freshman for next season but will lose AAC Player of the Year Precious Achiuwa.
Boogie Ellis will be the primary point guard moving forward in 2020 but could very well end up in the 2021 draft. There are a number of highly touted recruits from that 2019 class that will be back including Lester Quinones and D.J. Jeffries. The talent surrounding Nembhard will be solid. The only downside might be playing in the AAC.

Taking a year and developing with Penny Hardaway is an attractive option, he, Deandre Williams and Landers Nolley would come back in 2021, they’d be one of the title favorites for sure. I love the fit at Memphis, it would make for an extremely fun team moving forward especially if Hardaway can add even more talent.
