Who are the most accomplished head coaches in Conference USA Basketball this century?

There might not be a conference that has seen such a widespread change due to realignment as what Conference USA Basketball has endured. At the turn of the century, this was one of the best conferences in the country, but the loss of teams like Cincinnati, Louisville, and Marquette greatly diminished the league as time went on. Today, the league remains deep and consistent, but no longer attracts multiple bids to the NCAA Tournament as it did in yesteryear.

Despite the state of the conference, either now or in the past, the league has always included some impressive coaches. They’ve built talented rosters at these schools and established themselves on the national stage. Some of these coaches remain among the best in the business today, while others have performed marvelously in the postseason time and time again.

We’re going to take a close look at the ten greatest head coaches of Conference USA since 2000. The league has seen a lot of changes among the membership, leaving us with a great number of coaches to pick from. Fortunately, with our focus on winning, postseason success, and program progress, there were a few names that really stood out and we’ll examine these coaches further.

Without further ado, let’s start running through these coaches, looking deeply at their accomplishments since the turn of the century in Conference USA.
