Florida State Seminoles

Currently, the best NCAA Basketball program in the state of Florida is the Seminoles, coming off winning the ACC regular-season championship. They lose senior center Dominik Olejniczak and former five-star forward Patrick Williams from the frontcourt but still returns a fair amount of production and depth. They’re also in the running for 2020 center prospects Moussa Cisse and Alex Tchikou, which means that landing either of them would automatically take them out of the Walker sweepstakes.

The concern for Walker is that he would be in a similar situation as he was in Oregon. Coach Leonard Hamilton utilizes plenty of depth, regardless of the talent involved. With Balsa Koprivica, Malik Osborne, and Raiquan Gray all coming back, Walker could be in another rotation of split minutes. If looking for a prime role, Florida State may not be the answer.

Miami Hurricanes

Expect the Hurricanes to be a real contender to land Walker, as they have the roster to complement the former Duck. Forwards Sam Waardenburg and Rodney Miller Jr. each will come back, with Cincinnati center Nysier Brooks ready to play after redshirting last season. All three are solid rebounders and individual defenders but none of them have great offensive skills. Walker can come in and be a featured weapon at the four-spot.

With starting point guard Chris Lykes coming back, along with Kameron McGusty and incoming top-30 wing Earl Timberlake, the Hurricanes will have one of the better perimeters in the ACC. Add a talent such as Walker and this can be a threat to make a big run in 2020-21.
