NCAA Basketball: Analyzing Hampton transfer Ben Stanley final 6 programs
Xavier Musketeers
The Musketeers are in need of another forward for next season and Stanley would make a great addition. His scoring prowess and ability to get rebounds would be a huge addition this late in the summer.
Stanley would likely be looked at as a replacement for Naji Marshall who is entering the NBA draft and leaving a big hole for the Musketeers to try and fill. Stanley can play in that stretch four spot and help stuff the stat sheet.
Travis Steele has had a lot of success with developing Naji Marshall and the fact that Marshall played such a big role offensively for the Musketeers should spark some interest. The Musketeers already have a prominent Big South forward for next season with the addition of graduate transfer Nate Johnson from Gardner Webb.
Xavier will also have top 100 four-star big man Cesare Edwards joining next year, Stanley would help sure up what would be a pretty deep frontcourt for next season.
With a young team potentially in need of some veteran presence and the chance to make an immediate impact, Xavier would fit the bill for both although it’s not my favorite option for Stanley, you can still see why Xavier made his list.
