Dayton Flyers

Dayton obviously has some big holes to fill in their frontcourt with the departures of Toppin and Ryan Mikesell so the addition of Stanley would be extremely helpful. An elite scorer to help take some of the burden of Crutcher and Watson and a solid rebounder.

Chase Johnson recently announced he’d be returning, while it’s not that surprising it’s actually a real positive. Johnson is likely to play in that stretch-four role and the five in the small-ball lineups. Stanley can be a crucial player for the Flyers at the four and really help with the rebounding.

Anthony Grant has already been active in the portal picking up USC transfer Elijah Weaver, Dayton still has scholarships available next season. With their recent success, national spotlight, and great fan base the Flyers are definitely an attractive option even up against high majors.

The only other Flyer with any significant minutes in the frontcourt would be Jordy Tshimanga but he will probably only get about 20 minutes a night. Stanley would take a lot of pressure off the backcourt and really put Dayton in a position to make a run at the A-10 title again. I really like the fit.
