Maryland Terrapins

This one seemed obvious as soon as Stanley entered the transfer portal, being a Baltimore native and the needs that the Terrapins have for next season you had to think Maryland would be an option. The Terrapins have to be considered one of the favorites, he’d almost surely get a waiver if he needed one by moving closer to home to play his college ball.

The Terrapins need a lot of help for next season, it will be almost a completely different roster from the team that won the Big Ten regular-season and 24 games. It seems like Maryland has made the list for quite a few transfers during this offseason but things haven’t really gone there way, Ben Stanley appears to be a big-time addition that the Terps could really pull off.

There are no proven scorers in the frontcourt coming back for Maryland and Stanley would help take some pressure off those guys and the backcourt. The Big Ten is a huge step up from the Big South but Stanley will definitely be able to make a positive impact on this Terps team.

If Stanley doesn’t end up in Maryland it’s going to be another gut punch for Terps fans in what has been an extremely long offseason. The addition of Stanley brings a bit of hope that the Terps can salvage something next season. Expect a decision to come shortly as guys are starting to report back to campus.
