Oklahoma State Cowboys

Having already made a name for themselves as a notably ferocious group, Oklahoma State basketball fans stack up with the best when it comes to providing a hostile environment for visiting teams from the moment they step into Gallagher-Iba Arena. Nicknamed as “the rowdiest arena in the country” or the “Madison Square Garden of the Plains”, opposing teams likely struggle to sleep the night before facing off against the Cowboys, and OSU fans certainly like it that way.

Having also made storming the court a habit, the team often sells out, especially when hosting popular Big-12 opponents such as Kansas or Baylor, potentially filling all 13,611 seats to eventually pour out onto the hardwood. But even before racing across Eddie Sutton court, Cowboy fans often make it feel as if they already have, frequently shouting at opposing players with distinct chants consistently difficult to ignore.

But like all other schools cataloged on this list, any potential move to take this advantage off the table leaves OSU without an element key to its success, one frequently relied on and consequently troublesome if absent. Without thunder roaring behind it, lightning really loses its fearfulness and general fright, and unfortunately for Oklahoma State, this stands as an equation resembling their basketball program without their fans.
