Why you should know Manny Camper

Camper had a huge season last year and made a gigantic jump in terms of production for the Saints last season. Coming into the season not many knew what to expect with the forward. Over his career, he had averaged just over five points per game and a little over three rebounds per game. Those numbers were with one year as a starter.

Then his junior season came, and Camper really came alive. He had the best season of his career at Siena. His season was so special that he decided to test the NBA draft waters in April. He has yet to declare that he is coming back to college even though many believe he will.

The junior was able to turn very pedestrian numbers into a double average. He saw his scoring average jump to over 13 points per game and he turned into one of the best rebounders in the league. Camper is now the best returning rebounder in the league since Quinnipiac’s Kevin Marfo has transferred out of the league all the eyes are going to be on Camper on the glass.

The forward is so much more than a rebounder though. He can play all five positions, he can score from anywhere on the floor, handle the ball and can play entire games because he doesn’t lose any focus on the defensive end. As mentioned above Pickett is the best player in the league and every team and media member knows that. He is going to get his points.

Siena is nowhere close to the best team in the MAAC without Camper he is the most versatile player in the league and coach Maciariello has extreme confidence with him out on the floor guarding any position, handling the ball, and setting up the offense.
