Texas Longhorns

With four rising senior guards and incoming five-star forward Greg Brown likely around for just one season, the Longhorns are in need of landing a ton of talent in the 2021 class. There’s definitely a need for a small forward, as the team has been primarily using three-guard lineups in the past couple of years.

With five-star center Daimion Collins linked to Texas, adding a dynamic wing in Houstan would be huge for a program that has been dying to find a go-to scorer that can put up 20 points in a given night. But will this prospect be impressed enough with the Longhorns offensive system (or lack thereof) to have a real interest in this team?

Texas Tech Red Raiders

After missing out on Kuminga, the Red Raiders is looking for their next five-star commitment, after landing both Jahmi’us Ramsey and current freshman Nimari Burnett. The program has become a national power on both the high school and transfer recruiting trail, most recently picking up high-profile Georgetown guard Mac McClung.

While there’s depth at forward for Texas Tech, there’s a possibility that Terrence Shannon could break out and go pro, along with UNLV power forward Joel Ntambwe. But with a trio of four-star small forward players set to arrive either this or next season, a commitment from Houstan would set off a chain reaction of potential departures. But his offensive potential would make the Red Raiders dominant without question if he picks them.
