Kansas Jayhawks

Bill Self was the last coach to offer Riley, prior to his list being trimmed. The Jayhawks however can’t be ridden off simply because they came into the conversation late. The program has a lot to offer recruits and has a proven track record for helping its players develop their game.

Kansas really lacked ball-handling depth last season. If Devon Dotson took a breather or was in foul trouble, Marcus Garrett, Ochai Agbaji, and Isaiah Moss showed falloff running the position. Riley’s talents as a combo guard could have come in handy for Coach Self to maintain optimal production for his team.

While his versatility would be a nice option for the Jayhawks to have on their roster, top 2021 guards Hunter Sallis, Rahsool Diggins, Kennedy Chandler, and Nolan Hickman. Playing time on a roster that utilizes an abundance of top-flight talent, Riley may not get the desired playing time immediately that he’s looking for.
