G/F, Hyunjung Lee – Davidson

Hyunjung Lee is Davidson’s breakout candidate for the 2020-21 season. Lee finished his first season with Davidson strong. Lee has high expectations to develop into a star in the future for this program.  Bob McKillop and the Davidson Wildcats have done a great job recruiting especially overseas as of recently. We can see this in Lee’s performance at Davidson in just his first season with the team.

Prior to Davidson, Lee played for Korea’s U16, U17, and U18 National Teams. In addition, he was the leading scorer at the 2018 U18 Asia Basketball Championships averaging 26.0 points, while shooting just under 40 percent from long range. Lee also attended the NBA Global Academy in Australia.

Lee was selected as the Atlantic 10 Rookie-of-the-Week twice this past season. Lee appeared in 28 contests coming off the bench, including a season-high 20 points at VCU. Lee was consistently good this past season, scoring in double-figures 12 times. Lee ended the season seventh among A-10 first-year players in scoring, averaging 8.4 points per game. He also ranked 11th in the conference overall in 3-point field-goal percentage shooting better than 37 percent. He also earned All-Freshman Honors on the Atlantic 10 team.

Hyunjung Lee is definitely someone to look out for in the future for the Davidson Wildcats.
