G, Gibson Jimerson – Saint Louis

Gibson Jimerson is Saint Louis’ breakout candidate for the 2020-21 season. Jimerson will be going into his sophomore season at Saint Louis University. The Billikens will look to Jimerson to be a huge asset this season as they look to contend and punch a ticket to the Dance.

Prior to Saint Louis, played at Montverde Academy in Florida his senior year. He led the Montverde Academy Center for Basketball Development team in scoring and shooting percentage. Jimerson also played for at St. Christopher’s and Benedictine in Richmond, Virginia, before transferring to Montverde. He was among the leading scorers in the Richmond area as a junior, tallying 26.0 ppg at St. Christopher’s.

Last season, Jimerson had his season cut short by a foot injury suffered in practice. Prior to being injured, he claimed back-to-back A-10 Rookie of the Week honors Dec. 2 and Dec. 9. He averaged 10.8 points per game and shot 42.9 percent from 3-point range, the second-best mark by a freshman in school history.

Gibson Jimerson will have a lot to bring to the table this upcoming season. Jimerson’s ability to shoot it from anywhere on the floor will be crucial for the Billikens. His tireless work ethic has helped him come back strong from an injury suffered last season. We can expect a big year from Gibson Jimerson.
