NCAA Basketball: Where will class of 2022 five-star guard Skyy Clark land?

Kentucky Wildcats
The formation of the G-League’s Developmental pathway may dip into some of Kentucky’s normal 1-and-done recruits on a yearly basis, but so far it doesn’t look like the impact is imminent. Coach Calipari has readily targeted these types of recruits over the last decade and is well versed in how to help them optimally develop. Skyy Clark has a solid chance of leaving college for the pro ranks after only one season and he could position himself nicely by learning the game from one of the best coaches in the nation.
Like in North Carolina, guards are the backbone of the Kentucky program. Due to the prevalence of 1-and-done talent on any given roster, the express development of the backcourt determines how quickly this team is able to find success. Fortunately for Calipari, this act has played out year after year, and securing Clark as his lead guard is a great start to building his roster for 2021.
His ability to get into the middle of the defense and break down his defenders will help to ensure the Wildcats get easy buckets, while they work towards postseason form. Clark is undoubtedly a player other top recruits will want to play and will uplift the play of his teammates.
Joining Kentucky will be an ideal location, with one of the top national platforms to elevate his NBA stock, to prepare and develop ahead of his professional aspirations.
