TCU Horned Frogs

Biggest needs: Shooting guard and center

With no seniors on the projected 2020-21 roster, the coaching staff isn’t going to be looking to bring in many freshmen. But based on past history concerning an exodus of transfers, expect a scholarship or two to open up somehow. That also may be the case if either Kevin Samuel or RJ Nembhard breaks out and goes pro as well.

The one player who has left is leading scorer and All-Big 12 guard graduate Desmond Bane, leaving the shooting guard position currently up for grabs. Even if someone takes over that spot confidently, adding a freshman for depth purposes is the right move. The same goes for adding either a point guard or center as insurance in case one of the key juniors leave early.

Texas Longhorns

Biggest needs: Point guard, shooting guard and center

With no one leaving the team this offseason and the only newcomer (Greg Brown) likely a “one and done” prospect, expect a fair amount of turnover on this roster a year from now. That includes losing senior guards Jase Febres and Matt Coleman, along with starting center Jericho Sims.

The Longhorns have a pair of three-star commits in Keeyan Itejere and Emarion Ellis already and is rumored to be in the lead for five-star center prospect Daimion Collins. If Texas can land him, finding a four-star or better perimeter player would make this a great class for Coach Shaka Smart.
