Why you should Know Jake LaRavia

The wing made his way to Indiana State from Lawrence Central High School. The sophomore didn’t have his breakout season until his senior year of high school and because of that, he was under-recruited. LaRavia did grab the attention of the Indiana State staff and he has not looked back since.

The wing had a great freshman season and has become one of the fan favorites in Terre Haute. The 6’8” sophomore had such a good season that he was able to walk away with all-freshman team honors

What has made LaRavia a fan favorite?  Well mainly he plays hard and is an electric dunker. Fans always love players who can shake a rim. The wing has a well-rounded offensive game and when he isn’t dunking, he is a great finisher at the rim, and he is a good shooter from the outside. However, his numbers from outside may be great he doesn’t shoot that many shots from out there. LaRavia was incredibly efficient on the offensive end as he shot 53% for the season from the floor.

The forward is a dream to coach as he can play multiple positions and he is athletic enough to play them all well. The forward proved this with his first game in college, going up against Dayton and holding his own with a very respectable stat line with eight points, six rebounds, and two blocks.

LaRavia enters the season primed for a breakout as he is going to be next to star Tyreke Key as the true second option for the Sycamores and he is not even close to reaching his ceiling as a player yet. When he finally does, he is going to be mentioned by every national outlet in the country. Any team or player who wants to forget about LaRavia he will be sure to make every single one of them remember.
