Wake Forest Basketball: Chaundee Brown

Guard

Starter – Chaundee Brown Jr (22 minutes/game)

Others – Eli Brooks (10 minutes/game) and Zeb Jackson (8 minutes/game)

The NCAA is passing out waivers like it is candy, so we can’t imagine Brown not getting one to play this year. While it isn’t official yet, we just can’t see any way he is not suiting up for the Maize and Blue in 2020.

Brown comes over from Wake Forest where he averaged 12.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He hasn’t been a great shooter as he hit just 32% from deep but has shown the ability to score in the ACC and that should translate well over to the Big Ten.

If for some reason Brown is not eligible, Brooks will slide into this spot and make a nice one-two duo with Smith at guard. Brooks also could very easily be the starter here. Howard has a lot of options with is guard play and it will come down to who does most in the camp leading up to the season.

Jackson again should get some time at both point and shooting guard this year. His minutes will depend on how quickly he adjusts to the college game. He could be a very important piece to the Wolverines and provided needed depth at the guard spot.

If all four of the guards can play well, the Wolverines might have the deepest backcourt in the conference.
