Tom Izzo is the best Big Ten head coach

The Michigan State Spartans will always be in the conversation to win the Big Ten and will be a national championship contender as long as Tom Izzo is their head coach. It’s as simple as that. Izzo is far and away the best coach in the conference and has been for over 20 years. He is one of the best in the country and is no doubt one of the best of all time.

He has won eight National Coach of the Year awards, and he has an impressive streak of 22 straight seasons of making the NCAA tournament. He has 10 Big Ten regular-season championships as well as 6 Big Ten tournament titles.

His recent hot streak of recruiting proves that kids want to play for him. You’ll never hear a former player say anything negative about Izzo, in fact, you’ll only hear overwhelmingly positive things. Izzo has always run one of the cleanest programs in the NCAA and will continue to do so until the day he retires.

While it seems like Izzo wants to get his second title before he rides off into the sunset, he’s done everything in his power to set up the program for years of success. The recruitment of Emoni Bates proves this, as it will make East Lansing popular among the highly-rated recruits. As long as Tom Izzo is coaching the Spartans, count on them to run the conference.
