11. George Washington Colonials

GW should be an interesting team this season. The finished 11th in the standings with a freshman-led team. The roster for this upcoming season doesn’t look like it will be out of this world, but it does have some sleeper potential. Jameer Nelson Jr., Jamison Battle, and Maceo Jack have all proven themselves as promising talents.

They will all be joined by some nice additions via the NCAA transfer portal in Sloan Seymour, transferred from Siena, and Matthew Moyer, a grad-transfer Big from Vanderbilt. Two more highly recruited transfers are Ricky Lindo (Maryland) and James Bishop (LSU) both are underclassmen and are huge additions to this roster.

Even if the transfers fit in nicely, the Colonials’ overall depth still for Jamion Christian to work on to improve this team. This will be Christian’s second year as head coach, so I’m not expecting GW to make too much noise in the standings just yet. For this upcoming season, a lot of questions have been answered and there have been improvements within the defense of this team but, it will be difficult for GW to leap out of the lower-ranked teams in the conference.

George Washington still has a lot of work to do but, we can expect them to not play the first day at the Atlantic 10 tournament in Brooklyn. With a healthy and maintained roster, I can see this team at best finishing in 9th-place but, Jamion Christian will have a lot of work to do before that is reachable.
