NCAA Basketball: Ok State, Va Tech, and Minnesota among Sean Pedulla’s top 8
By Ian Mumm
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
The Bulldogs have not had a losing season under Erik Konkel, since taking over the job in 2015. He employs a large guard rotation in his lineups and could create early opportunities for Pedulla to make his mark. Louisiana Tech was a very efficient offense last season under the guidance of several senior guards, but the team will be looking to carry that momentum over prior to a potential arrival for Pedulla.
Projecting to the 2021 season, much of the program’s guard depth will be gone. The senior leadership and production will go out the door along with them. Pedulla’s play and steadying hand could be beneficial to creating stronger and easier opportunities for a younger team to score. He will be a reliable option to score throughout games and via his own shot making.
However his ability to survey the floor and attack weak spots, whether it’s for his own shot or a teammate’s, he finds the plays that lead to winning games. He is a strong free throw shooter and could help to pull the program’s poor numbers from the charity stripe upwards. Pedulla would have every opportunity with the Bulldogs to compete for a starting job from the outset and immediately impact outcomes on the floor.
