Over the past five seasons:

Best Season: The 2017-2018 season was by far Moser’s best season. Loyola Chicago won the conference regular-season and tournament titles that season as well as recording a school-record 32 wins. The Ramblers also won four NCAA tournament games and reached the Final Four of the NCAA tournament.

Defining moment: On January 7th, 2018, the Ramblers season which started off better than predicted looked to be going downhill prior to their road contest against their conference opponent Northern Iowa. Loyola Chicago after at 10-1 start to their season would lose three of their next four games.

A victory against the Panthers was desperately needed if they wanted to win the Missouri Valley Conference. Moser and his team did not only defeat Northern Iowa but his Ramblers would win would propel the Ramblers to seven straight wins and win 17 out of their last 18 regular-season games.

Biggest Regular Season Win: He and his Loyola Chicago team traveled to Gainsville for an early  December matchup in 2017 against No. 5 Florida and defeated the Gators by a score of 65-59. At the time it was considered a big upset but in reality, it was a preview of things to come.

Best NCAA Tournament Victory: It would be easy to pick Loyola Chicago’s win over No. 9 seeded Kansas State to reach the Final Four of the NCAA tournament in 2018 or their first-round upset against No. 6 seed Miami (FL) which started the magical Cinderella run to the Final Four that year but their second-round win was most impressive.

After defeating the Hurricanes as the No. 11 seed of their region, their run was supposed to end against No. 3 seeded Tennessee. The Ramblers only beat Miami by two points and the Volunteers dismantled their first-round opponent and also earlier had earned a share of the SEC regular-season title. However, the Ramblers won another very close game by defeating Tennessee by only one point and that victory was Moser’s most impressive tournament victory.
