Bulls . 6. team. 477. . .

South Florida is intriguing with Alexis Yetna returning from injury and the Bulls returning a good chunk of their roster that went 7-11 in conference play last season. Yetna missed all of last season after suffering a knee injury just a few weeks before the start of the season. Yetna won the AAC freshman of the year in 2019 averaging 12.3 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, his performance and health will have big impacts on how the Bulls do this season.

South Florida brings in four-star guard Caleb Murphy to try and help fill the hole left by former AAC defensive player of the year Laquincy Rideau. The Bulls also bring in three transfers with Mississippi State transfer Prince Oduro, Texas Tech’s Russel Tchewa, and Iowa State’s Luke Anderson. All three join the Bulls after having minimal roles at their previous schools, they should be some solid depth pieces.

David Collins elected to come back to USF after testing the draft waters this offseason, the senior was the teams leading scorer this past season. His backcourt partner, fellow senior Justin Brown should be in line for a big season as well. He’s a high energy two-way player that provides a big spark for the Bulls on both sides of the ball.

Look for Xavier Castaneda to be another guy in the backcourt that has a big season, he’s my breakout candidate for the Bulls this season. There’s talent on this roster but they’ll need a lot of guys to step up to truly be challengers in this conference. I’ve got them finishing sixth right now.
