. . . Austin Reaves. 10. player. 464

The Wichita State transfer might have had the most impressive individual performance from the Big 12 last season. The last memory from the Sooners and Horned Frogs from last season, was Reaves pull-up jumper with less than a second to go in Fort Worth, giving the Sooners the last win of their season.

Reaves shot an amazing 15-16 from the line and was 12-23 from the field that night.

Reaves is not the player that Manek is. Reaves relies more on his ability to shoot from the middle of the floor, alongside near the basket. The Arkansas native shoots just 25% from 3, but is very good near from within that range, with shooting slightly below 50% from closer to the hoop.

What sets Reaves apart from many in the Big 12 is he is one of the last guys you want at the free throw line. As TCU can attest, Reaves shoots an above-average 85% from the line and gets there, on average five times a game.

Austin Reaves doesn’t have the impact that Manek does from beyond the arc but makes his impact in his own way. There is a lot to be desired on the defensive end, as Reaves’s major weakness is on-ball defense.

However, his great play on the offensive can make up for it. The senior, alongside Manek, is looking to put the Sooners near the top half of the conference this upcoming season.
