. . . Matt Coleman. 9. player. 467

The former top-50 player in the class of 2017 cracks the list, after a much-improved sophomore season. Texas has never had the doubt of talent at guard, with Coleman and Andrew Jones. Coleman put it all together last season, with shooting near 47/40/80 splits on the season.

The former Oak Hill player is a very good playmaker, with deceptive speed. He can get down the floor in a hurry and is above average around the rim.

Matt is also a good shooter, who has a good stroke when he goes up for a shot. Coleman does at times, have an issue with turning the ball over and posts a 1.47 assist to turnover ratio.

Coleman doesn’t quite have the biggest frame as he stands at just 6’2 and isn’t considered to be the primary ball-handler for the Longhorns. As a senior, Coleman does have a ton of experience for a Texas team that is picked by many to finish near the top.

There are other offensive weapons in the league like Jared Butler, Cade Cunningham, and Kyler Edwards that get more attention.

There could be an argument by the end of the year for Coleman to be included in that list. With his consistent shooting and playmaking, Texas run at a Big 12 title is certainly possible.
