147. . . . Brooklyn Nets. . team

Picks: 19, 55

Needs: Shooting Guard, Additional Star

The Brooklyn Nets are certainly a team to watch next season with Kevin Durant’s return to the basketball court.

Despite being loaded with good young players like Caris Lavert and Jarrett Allen, don’t expect the Nets to double down on youth and development like they did last season — this team has officially entered win-now mode with Durant and Kyrie Irving’s return from injuries.

Consistently mentioning that they’re “one piece away” and need to add another star or key contributor, the Nets are a prime candidate to package their young talent and the #19 pick and attempt to add a scorer alongside KD and Irving.

While Bradley Beal and Victor Oladipo will be rumored, prying a bonafide star from another team with Lavert, Allen and a few midrange draft picks will simply not get it done.

Look for Brooklyn to seek a trade for something more realistic such as Jrue Holiday, while using their additional picks to add depth to a backcourt that lacks a knock-down shooter.
