9. Washington Wizards – Obi Toppin

Next year is going to be a very interesting year for the Wizards. They are currently stuck in between deciding to rebuild or retool. They have a legitimate superstar in Bradley Beal who averaged thirty points a game last season and have a guy there paying max money to in John Wall who has been out the last two seasons because of injuries. Then they have two lottery picks they have selected in the last two years with Rui Hachimura and Troy Brown Jr.

I think that with the duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal being back next year, that Washington wants to get a guy who can play with their superstar duo and a guy they can build around. Toppin is an athletic power forward who is going to be a perfect pick and roll partner with Bradley Beal and John Wall. He is a solid three-point shooter, which will be good for Wall to make up for his lack of shooting.

Toppin’s defense is a work in progress, but his ceiling is Amare Stoudemire and if he develops to even close to that he will be a perfect fit for John Wall. His rim running, athleticism and lob catching will play perfectly off of Wall’s amazing passing ability. I think this is a perfect pick for the Wizards that will feed perfectly off of Wall, who will not have the same athleticism he had before his torn Achilles.
