Atlantic 10 Basketball: Ranking of top 20 players from the league since 2000
14. Treveon Graham – VCU Rams
Treveon Graham has impressed the basketball world with his talent since 2011 when he first entered the NCAA with the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams. Graham’s prolific shooting made it easy for Atlantic 10 fans to love him and NBA scouts to keep an eye out for him.
In his freshman season, VCU was a member of the Colonial Athletic Association and would not join the Atlantic 10 until the following season. Graham became a player to remember on the Rams’ roster averaging 7.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Prior to his sophomore season, Graham was chosen by Sports Illustrated as the most likely ‘breakout sophomore’ in the nation. Graham would do just that in his sophomore season.
As a sophomore, Graham averaged 15.1 points and 5.8 rebounds as a full-time starter which was good enough to receive second-team All-Atlantic 10 honors.
Prior to his junior year, VCU was named the favorite to win the Atlantic 10 Conference. Graham was also named to the preseason All-Atlantic 10 First Team. VCU entered the season ranked 14th in the preseason AP poll. Graham would average 15.8 points and 2.0 assists per game.
Graham averaged 16.2 points and 7.1 rebounds in 33 games in his senior season. Despite frequent leg injuries throughout the season, Graham led the team in scoring, rebounding, and three-pointers made. He would also help the VCU Rams during the A10 tournament which was the first A10 tournament victory in school history despite qualifying as a fifth seed.
Although Graham went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft, he would find his way back to the NBA. Graham has played with the Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and he is currently a member of the Atlanta Hawks.
