Oklahoma State Basketball: 2020-21 season preview for the Cowboys
By Andrew Tineo
Oklahoma State’s Schedule Outlook
Although their non-conference schedule isn’t finalized, the majority of it has been announced. Cade Cunningham and the Cowboys 2020-2021 season begins in rare fashion with a road trip to a Mid-Major school.
Oklahoma State will take the road trip down to Arlington and face David Azore-led UT-Arlington on November, 25th. In less than a week, Oklahoma State will play in the Big 12/Big East Battle as they travel to Milwaukee to play Marquette. The Cowboys will return home for two straight against Oakland and Oral Roberts, before making another trip. This time, up north to play Wichita State.
Oklahoma State’s non-conference finishes with a home game against Arkansas on January, 30th. That game is part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
The Cowboys begin their conference slate with a home game against TCU on December, 16th. That follows with two difficult road games, with Texas and Texas Tech back to back. The Cowboys have a relatively balanced schedule, by Big 12 standards.
Their senior day will be a contest with Texas Tech and their final game of the season will be with rival Oklahoma in Norman.
Once more information comes out on the rest of the schedule, there can be more of a fair grade of the schedule. For the Cowboys, there are some solid games that can give the Pokes a challenge prior to the start of Big 12 play.
