20. . Point guard. Los Angeles Lakers. Nico Mannion. 28. player

This mock draft happened before the trade that involved Dennis Schröder going from Oklahoma City to Los Angeles in exchange for Danny Green and the No. 28 pick in this year’s NBA Draft. Thing is, this still would be a great potential match, as the Thunder also have star point guard Chris Paul on the trading block as well. This likely will go to a ball-handler anyway.

"Mannion’s body on his jumper is funky, but he still flashed the ability to shoot off movement and the dribble. He lacks elite athleticism, but he’s a terrific passer who should make terrific reads with NBA spacing. – Brandon Simberg"

Mannion was good as a freshman at Arizona (14.0 ppg and 5.3 apg) but he shot under 40% from the field and had several poor performances against the better competition. His offensive playmaking skills gives him a high ceiling but he’ll have to develop the rest of his game to have any hope of being an NBA starting point guard.

New York Knicks. Grant Riller. 27. player. 27. . Guard

One of the more consistently elite scorers in college basketball, Grant Riller put up 21.9 ppg in the last two years at College of Charleston. The 6’3 guard can create his own offense as well as for others and could very well play a Lou Williams type role as an instant scoring guard off the bench.

"The dazzling Riller can score and at a high rate. The Knicks needs someone that can just get a bucket and Riller fills that void. – Drew Tineo"

The Knicks have a ton of former lottery-pick guards on the roster right now. But only RJ Barrett is someone many thinks will be around in a year or two. Elfrid Payton, Frank Ntilikina, and Dennis Smith Jr. haven’t been impressive in a Knicks uniform, particularly on offense. Riller has a chance to get a future spot in their rotation, although likely as a backup to Barrett since both are off-guards.

18. . Forward/center. Boston Celtics. Isaiah Stewart. 26. player

Stewart used his 6’9 and 250-pound body to his advantage at Washington, averaging 17.0 ppg, 8.8 rpg, and over two blocks a game. He has solid fundamentals on both ends of the court but questions about his shooting and ability to defend at the five-spot prevents him from being a lottery candidate.

"There’s one thing that Boston lacked throughout the season; that is having enough depth for the center position. Isaiah Stewart is a prospect who can contribute to protecting the rim and not allow points in the paint for the opposing team. – Nick Dormus"

The Celtics will be looking to add any number of talented frontcourt players in this draft if they keep all three first-round picks. Although young players Robert Williams, Semi Ojeleye, and Vicent Poirier all have shown potential, adding a true center such as Stewart would allow the team not to play small too much, which was evident when they had no answer for Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo in the Eastern Conference Finals.

149. . Forward. Oklahoma City Thunder. Xavier Tillman. 25. player

One of the most versatile big men in this draft class, Tillman averaged 13.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg, and 3.0 apg. He also was the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year this past season and improved his overall offensive game to the point of being a 1st round projected selection.

"Tillman would be a great, and smart, prospect to add what looks to be a retooling Thunder squad at some point. – Cody Larson"

The Thunder had starter Danillo Gallinari at the power forward spot with Nerlens Noel, Darius Bazley, and Mike Muscala all part of the frontcourt rotation this past year. With the program opting to rebuild, look for there to be a number of roster changes. That opens up a potential spot for Tillman to get early minutes and display his game as a rookie.
