Key Players in the Rest of Clemson’s Rotation

Senior G – Clyde Trapp

Trapp averaged six points, three rebounds, and two assists on 36% shooting. Trapp played a lot last year for Clemson and will most likely be the sixth man on this team. But, the Tigers are going to need him to be a lot more efficient this season. As he only shot 36% from the field and only shot  26% from three was not any better.  The Tigers are going to need more efficient production from one of the lone seniors on the roster to solidify their bench.

Sophomore G – Chase Hunter

Hunter who only played nine games last year for Clemson because of a lingering foot injury should finally be a go for the Tigers. Hunter averaged nine points, one rebound, and one assist on 37% shooting in his limited action last year. I think Hunter will get better this year for the Tigers. And if Hunter can be more efficient on the offensive end, he can help out the Tigers big time off the bench this season.

Junior F – Hunter Tyson

Tyson one of the lone big men for Clemson last year and was solid in limited playing for Brad Brownell. Tyson averaged five points and three rebounds on 44% shooting. He showed some ability to stretch the floor shooting 32% from three. I’m not sure how much playing time we see Tyson get this year especially with the highly-touted recruiting class Brownell brought in this season.

Freshman F – Olivier-Maxence Prosper

Prosper an international player from Mexico, was a four-star recruit, 17th at the power forward position, and was the #1 ranked international player coming out of high school. Prosper is highly athletic and has very good length. His handle could use some improvement and he will most likely be used as a slasher in his first year for the Tigers.

Freshman C – Lynn Kidd

Another four-star recruit who rounded out Brad Brownell’s outstanding 2020 recruiting class. Kidd was ranked 103rd nationally, 18 at his position, and 10th in the state of Flordia. Kidd is a highly athletic player who has a nice touch around the rim. He needs to add some strength to his frame to guard post players at the college level. Kidd will play the role of a rim runner in his freshman season at Clemson.
