Key Kansas Reserves

Guard – Christian Braun, Sophomore

It’s important to note that Braun could very well find himself a starter. Nonetheless, he will be looking to follow up his freshman campaign with another solid season. The 6’6″ guard who logged five starts last season can shoot the ball from deep, and also has the ability to mix it up down low, as he pulled down 2.9 rpg last year. It will be intriguing to see how much Self inserts Braun into the starting five.

Forward – Tyon Grant-Foster, Junior

He’s listed as a guard, but at 6’7″, the Junior college transfer will log a lot of minutes at the forward position. He’s going to give Self some great depth this season, as he put up some very impressive numbers at Indian Hills Community College last year. Grant-Foster averaged 16.5 ppg last season, and also blocked 48 shots too. His ability to score from anywhere on the court matched with his size down low bodes well for him in the Jayhawks rotation.

Forward – Jalen Wilson, RS Freshman

After breaking his ankle last season, Wilson ended up redshirting, and now returns looking to log some serious minutes. At 6’8″, Wilson can play the 2, 3, and 4, and that versatility is something that’s going to be utilized a lot this season.
