An Outlook of Liberty’s Schedule

Liberty has a pretty rigid schedule that includes many power 5 teams. The Flames open up the season against Purdue in the Space Coast Challenge. Then three days later Liberty plays SEC foe, South Carolina. The Flames play Missouri on December 9th and finish up their non-conference schedule against Alcorn State on December 22nd.

Liberty opens up with A-Sun play against Lipscomb and will play them on back to back nights. All A-Sun teams will travel to one team’s location and will play that home team on back to back nights to reduce travel. Which should help stop the spread of Covid-19 and protect the players.

The Flame’s two big matchups in the conference should be against Lipscomb and Stetson. Lipscomb was picked first in the conference in the A-Sun preseason poll and they will be the biggest threat to stopping Liberty’s three-peat in the A-Sun. Stetson picked third in the preseason poll behind the Flames will be another big early-season matchup.

The Flames will then have senior night and their regular-season finale against Bellarmine on February 27th.
