The Offense goes through Bouknight and Cole

This wasn’t all that surprising but it’s clear that the offense is going to run through Bouknight and RJ Cole. Bouknight got UConn out to an early lead against Hartford and it’s a good thing he did or that could have been a grind-it-out kind of game for the Huskies. His innate ability to get to the basket and finish is second to none and part of the reason this is likely his last year with UConn.

Cole has been a big part of the offense, he looks comfortable with the ball in his hand and has a lethal deep ball. Cole is that point guard the Huskies have been missing the past few years, they can go to him when they need a basket, his vision and playmaking ability has really stretched the defense.

The bigs have done well at contributing especially with their second-chance points, Whaley has been a nice veteran presence especially on defense, and Sanogo looks like the sky is the limit with his potential.
