The Hauser Brothers square off

Sam and Joey Hauser were former teammates while at Marquette in 2018-19 but transferred to separate schools. After sitting out the 2019-20 season, both are set to square off in the 2020 ACC/Big Ten Challenge with Sam on Virginia Cavaliers roster and Joey on the Michigan State roster.

Sam is the Cavaliers leading scorer on the year, posting 14.5 points per contest along with 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. The 6-foot-8 forward is shooting 43.8 percent from 3-point land on the year as Virginia looks to find their way on offense through him on the perimeter.

Joey, the younger of the two, leads the Spartans in rebounds at 10.0 points per game while also putting up 11.5 points and 2.0 assists per contest. Michigan State is a well-balanced machine led by sophomore Rocket Watts, who is averaging 14.5 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game and Aaron Henry is filling up the stat sheet with 11.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.3 assist, 2.3 blocks, and 2.3 steals per game.

Two different styles collide as Virginia will look to slow down a team averaging 80.2 points per game in the Spartans.
