Hunter Dickinson | 7’0 Center | Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines are in a reboot under head coach Juwan Howard and big man Hunter Dickinson is the latest product of that. The 7-foot big man has been impressive in his first season under Howard, showing he can be a presence in the paint on both ends of the floor.

He’s averaging 14.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game through the first five games for Michigan. He’s been efficient around the paint and inside the arc, shooting 70.7 percent, and has even registered a double-double already against Ball State (12 points, 11 rebounds).

He went off for 18 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks against Toledo. The most impressive part of Dickinson’s production is he’s done it all coming off the bench for the Wolverines. He’s yet to start for them but has still averaged 22.4 minutes of action, which ranks fifth-most on the squad.

Whether or not he finds his way into the starting rotation, remains to be seen. His impact on the court though is hard to deny as they remain unbeaten at 5-0.
