8. The Big Ten is the best conference in the country

We knew the Big Ten was going to be good this year, but this good? The top of the Big Ten is absolutely loaded. There are currently three teams in the top six, although Illinois will probably drop after their loss to Missouri.

Iowa, as we have already talked about, have the best player in the country. Wisconsin who won a share of the Big Ten last year has almost everyone back and they are playing well again. Michigan State still has Tom Izzo on the sidelines and has his team playing well again.

That doesn’t even include Ohio State and Rutgers who are undefeated and ranked. Then you still have Michigan who currently has a top-ten offense. Penn State even just whipped a ranked Virginia Tech team by 20.

Last year the Big Ten looked to have up to 10 teams headed to the NCAA tournament and this year looks to be the same. Except they look to have at least five legitimate final four threats.

Whoever comes out of this conference the champion will have earned it and could easily be a championship favorite.

The conference has great players and even better teams and they are proving it against top competition.

The Big Ten is the best conference in the country and at this point, it isn’t even close. Sit back and watch, because with conference play starting the Big Ten should produce some great games this year.
