Big 12 Basketball: Baylor, Texas remain on top in 2020-21 power rankings

The Cowboys have had a tough slate of playing three straight Top 15 ranked teams. After coming off an OT win to Texas Tech, they blew a 19 point lead to West Virginia. Oklahoma State is very young and showed they could not keep an overwhelming lead over a depleted West Virginia.

Cunningham had an outstanding game, going for 25 points and nine rebounds. The consensus top pick in the draft seems to carry a sometimes lifeless offense, with one other main scorer at times. Cunningham and Isaac Likekele combined for 19 of Oklahoma State’s 31 field goals and had over half of the team’s points.

The Cowboys had a chance to rebound against lowly ranked Kansas State on Saturday. On a night where the Cowboys were without three players and Cunningham scored just five points, the Cowboys handled Kansas State.

Rondel Walker pitched in a season-high 15 points and three rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench. Isaac Likekele added 15 points on 6-9 shooting on the game. The Cowboys did an excellent job in winning the rebound category and held Kansas State to shooting 25 percent from beyond the arc.

The Cowboys were very impressive in that they were able to score offensively, even with just three shots from Cunningham.

Over the course of the next week, Oklahoma State faces off against Kansas and Oklahoma at home.
