AAC Basketball: Houston still on top of latest power rankings
3. Tulsa Golden Hurricane
Maybe not a huge name that comes up in casual living room conversations, but Tulsa has been one of the more consistent teams in the league and ends up just outside of the top tier for this edition of the rankings, where they’ve been for the last few years.
Now in his seventh season, head coach Frank Haith and his squad have put together a winning record all but once, and have finished top four on multiple occasions, including a regular-season co-championship before having the conference tournament canceled last year. Brandon Rachal consistently leads the team in points and rebounds and has put together a few double-double games to this point.
They are a well-rounded and deep team that can get a little bit of everything from their starters. After beginning the year with a 1-3 record, they have put together a nice stretch to the conference campaign with six straight wins following a narrow 4-point loss to Wichita State.
