3. Stanford Cardinal

The Stanford Cardinal are coming off a sweep of the Washington schools and are 8-3 on the season and 4-1 in conference play. Stanford has faced many difficulties this season as many teams.

Because of Santa Clara county COVID 19 protocols, the Cardinal have had to play their home games in Santa Cruz at the Warriors G league facility. Stanford’s SID told the Spokesmen Review’s Theo Lawson that as of the Washington State game. The Cardinal have been staying in hotels for 40 days.

Stanford has been without Bryce Willis and Dajon Davis recently due to injuries but still swept the Washington schools.

Oscar Da Silva is Stanford’s best player and might be the best player in the conference. He is averaging 19.8 points on 62% shooting and 7.4 rebounds per game. He’s been very good this season.

Other key players are super freshmen Ziaire Williams that’s scoring 11.6 points per game. He figures to be a high pick in June’s 2021 draft and had a triple-double against Washington. And played very well against Washington State. Other important players are forwards Jaiden Delaire and Spencer Jones.

Stanford is a really talented team that has been banged up. They are 9th in Kenpom’s adjusted defense but 76th on offense. To move up the power rankings they need to get healthy and play better on offense.
