6. Arizona Wildcats

The Arizona Wildcats are 3-3 in the PAC 12 so far and 9-3 overall after a double-overtime win against Washington State. But lost their last two matchups against USC 87-73 and 81-76. Arizona announced some bad news on Tuesday when it was announced Jemarl Baker Jr broke his wrist and will be out for the season.

The Wildcats are a big team with Jordan Brown, Christian Koloko, and Azuloas Tubelis playing a huge, big. Bennedict Mathurin, a freshman wing from Canada has had some really good moments and figures to be a potential 2022 draft pick. James Akinjo from a transfer from Georgetown has been their leading scorer. He is a dynamic, athletic guard that can score in bunches.

Tubelis a freshman from Lithuania was really good against USC and UCLA. Getting good play from him down the stretch is big not only for his development but for Arizona as a team moving forward.

This Arizona team is intriguing, they are ineligible for the NCAA tournament so it will be interesting to see if there if the team loses their focus later in the year. This is a talented team but doesn’t have near the NBA talent that they have had previously. Right now, Arizona is 6th in our power rankings.
