5. Colorado Buffaloes

The Colorado Buffaloes are 3-2 in PAC 12 play and 3-3 overall. They are coming off a 65-58 win over Utah and before that, they beat a ranked Oregon team 79-72. McKinley Wright has not only seemed like he’s been at Colorado for 15 years but he’s a really good guard, he is the leader of the Buffalo’s and a favorite for PAC 12 player of the year.

Other than that Colorado is a pretty balanced team, with Dallas Walton injured the Buffaloes have 5 players averaging between 7 and 10 points per game. Jeriah Horne a transfer from Tulsa has been a nice player this season. The inside out big has shot 42 percent from three this season.

Colorado is a pretty underrated team nationally. The Buffalo’s are ranked 18th in Kenpom, and they have the 25th ranked offense along with the 19th ranked defense. Also, according to Kenpom they are the number 1 free-throw shooting team in the country at 84.5 percent.

I think Colorado is pretty good, and according to Kenpom they should be with my first group of teams, but I want to see more of them before I move them up. I think part of it is I remember how they fell apart at the end of the year last year and got blown out in the PAC 12 tourney, but this is a good team.
